Skyfall Kennels LLC is a family-owned boarding and training kennel dedicated to providing knowledgeable care and individualized attention for every dog. We offer boarding, board and train programs, and sport dog training and titling. While we have extensive experience with high-drive working breeds, we welcome dogs of all breeds and backgrounds.
Our approach centers on clear communication, consistency, and a real-life environment where dogs can thrive both mentally and physically, not busy kennels and isolated training rooms. Whether a dog is staying for boarding, learning foundational obedience, or preparing for sport work, we believe every dog benefits from thoughtful handling and purposeful care. At Skyfall Kennels, our goal is to provide owners with peace of mind and dogs with an environment that supports their natural instincts.
The Farm
Skyfall Kennels LLC is located in Markham, Va nestled on 150 acres of historic, rural countryside. Virginia's scenic state river, Goose Creek, carves through the property, adding to its unique beauty. Our farm is also home to various livestock animals including horses, cows, goats, and free-range chickens.
This unique environment allows our visiting dogs to experience something beyond a traditional boarding facility. With open space, natural surroundings, and a quieter atmosphere, dogs are able to decompress, explore, and engage with the world in a more balanced way. The farm setting provides daily exposure to new sights, sounds, textures, and scenarios that help build confidence and encourage healthy mental stimulation supporting both the physical and emotional well-being of each dog.
About Us
Ashleigh is the founder and driving force of Skyfall Kennels LLC. Since early childhood, she has been drawn to animals and to understand them. Raised in a homeschooling family, Ashleigh was able to spend every spare moment outside of school surrounding herself with animals. At 15 years old, she discovered a passion for the sport of IGP (then Shutzhund) with her first Belgian Malinois. In 2016, Skyfall Kennels LLC was established providing training services for pet dogs and working/sporting dogs. Ashleigh has also trained and aided in the training of various military K9s including Special Forces K9s, law enforcement K9s, detection dogs, service dogs, and personal protection dogs in addition to coaching law enforcement teams to become proficient canine handlers.
Since then, Ashleigh has competed to a national level in the protection sports of IGP and PSA with her personal dogs and has trained alongside international-level competitors. She also enjoys traveling to coach other handlers in the sports through seminars and lessons.
While Ashleigh leads all aspects of training, Amy keeps the operation running seamlessly — managing client communication, scheduling, and making sure every dog feels right at home. She has extensive business and leadership experience but is most proud of her recent retirement as a homeschool mom. She now enjoys her days caring for the farm and assisting Skyfall Kennels while still mentoring homeschooling parents on the side. Together, Ashleigh and Amy are committed to giving your dog — and you — an exceptional experience from start to finish.
